jump back.

Hey everyone, sorry I've been ignoring this blog for so long. I've gotten super busy with school work and rehearsals so I haven't been able to do much of anything. But now tomorrow is my last exam and then I get to go home. I can't wait for break even though I'm going to miss my friends here terribly.
Anyway, for my birthday I was able to do a photoshoot with one of the teachers at my school. I need headshots as a dance major anyway so it was a really fun experience. I don't have all of the photos back but I'll share with you the favorites that I have so far.

What is my life?

Alrighty so, its been a very interesting few weeks. First, I dyed my hair! It was a big fiasco and if you're friends with me on facebook there are pictures up. Basically the sinks at my school suck so I had to get in the shower to get the hair dye washed out. Then it looked like someone was murdered in our shower and I was soaked to the bone and the dye wound up ruining my bra =[ I didn't exactly think the whole washing out process through, oh well. But heres the result! Its hard to see in pictures but I tried my best. Its a red/auburn underneath and one little streak in my bangs. Its semi permanent but I love it. Its just a fun little funky change. Its always been on my bucket list to dye my hair a crazy color in college so it was nice to check that off!

Alright, so my dillema. I went to Target the other day and once more spent too much money. My friends convinced me to buy these shoes and I love them but...I don't know what to wear them with or even how to wear them. They are too high to wear around campus during the day but if I wear them out dancing on the weekends they might fall off. I've seen the clog thing be done for Free People and such but I'm wondering if I could pull it off.
Does anyone have any suggestions? They were only $20 but I would hate to never wear them

and those were my horrible confused faces. i'm a fail.

Oh Betsey Johnson.

Sometimes your stuff is a little to crazy for me but I still love it.

Ta-Da! What do you think?
Also these are the things I want...

I saw this shirt today, tried it on and loved it. However, my mom hates me in gray so we compromised and said I could order it online in the pink. However, the Free People website is being a little bitch and I'm not sure if my order went through or not. I still haven't gotten a confirmation email so I'm a bit worried. Hopefully I will figure it out soon!

Also, I really want this jacket from Lucky Brand. I tried it on today but my mom and I decided to move on and maybe come back to it. I might sneak back to the store and just buy it for myself haha.

So thats my fashion update! I have to say, I hate dressing at school because I always have to plan my outfit around dance and my leotard. Although I'm not looking forward to the cold, I am looking forward to the clothes.

Oh! And I got these boots before I left for school. Can't wait to wear them!

Thats it! Until next time, toodles.

I need help.

Ok, so I got this "headband" from Free People as a gift but....how in hell do I wear it? Maybe its just my hair or the way my head is shaped but I feel as if I look like an idiot when I wear this thing. I feel as if Free People has a wonderful way to style it and I just haven't been able to figure it out.

Any ideas?

spice up your life.

Alright, if you know me at all you should know by now that I practically worship Free People. I absolutely adore their unique style and if I could I would wear every single item they produce.
However, I don't have that kind of money, but I try my best.
So earlier today I was inspired by one of their blog posts. I dug out my old colored hair extensions from my rebel-i want to be a goth punk days and strung them into my hair for a colorful fishtail braid.

This is the inspiration:

of course photobooth pictures and the lighting in my room both suck but i tried my best. i'm also still trying to figure out where exactly to put the extensions because they seem to get lost in my hair while braiding. maybe next time I will use some colors.

also, I have to get my butt in gear and write an entry about my vacation. i will get to that soon I promise.
until then.

EMMA WATSON CUT HER HAIR.

WHY?
WHY WHY WHY WHY?
NOOO.
I'm devastated.
Usually I really like pixie cuts because i want to try one as well but I feel as if hers is too short.
Hopefully she will grow into it.
but just,
whyyyyyyyyyyy?

Happy National Dance Day.

You know, a year ago, this day was big to me but it didn't have the meaning it does now. Now I can truly say that I am a dancer. Just a dancer and nothing else. It defines me, it is my life and honestly, I couldn't be happier.
A year ago I was just an English major. Sure I planned to keep dancing but I didn't see it as being a big part of my life. I thought I would do the sensible thing and maybe do a few dance related things after college but then I would move on and get a "real" job. Ha.
After first semester this year I knew I wasn't happy. My one dance class wasn't enough and it hurt me when people would ask if I was a dance major and I would have to say no. And then they would ask "Why?" To be honest, I never had an answer. I just used the excuse that I didn't go to the audition but then it struck me, why am I not a dance major?
So then I went through the change and here I am now. Again I say that I couldn't be happier. Even though I have no idea what I'm going to do with my future, besides working for Disney, and besides the fact that sometimes it is hard to get up in the morning and have to put a bun in my very stubborn hair, I'm still happy. In dance class I work my ass off and I want to be better, I want to get better. I want to be the best that I can be and its nice to know that I have people supporting me. I have made some wonderful friends and I feel like I belong in the arts department now.
Anyway, Happy National Dance Day. Celebrate just moving, freeing yourself. Feel the movement and just let your spirit fly. Its a wonderful feeling and if I can't share this with you everyday then this is my chance. So go, dance like no one is watching.

just things that are on my mind right now. completely random, i don't even know what the point of this post is.
Photobucket

Do you have something that makes you incredibly happy?
Maybe its a place, a thing, a person.
Well I know for me, its Disney. Anything and everything Disney never fails to put a smile on my face. Even today I was listening to Beauty and the Beast while packing and I just couldn't help but smile and sing and dance around my room. If only my parents knew that when they took me to Disney World when I was 3 that they would be creating a monster.
I can hardly put into words what Disney means to me. Just what the company believes in, the parks, the movies, every single thing that they do I just love. I just hope one day I have the chance to work in Disney World so that I can put a smile on a childs face. I just want to do that before I die, thats all I want.

But anyway, thank you Walt Disney for creating something so truly magical. I could cry while typing this because I don't know what I would do without it in my life. I don't care if people call me childish or anything else. I may be holding onto my childhood but Disney has also taught me that I can dream and if I work hard and believe in magic that I can do anything in my life.

"Al your dreams can come true if you have the courage to pursue them." ~Walter Elias Disney

Now I really know that I should never be a model.

So I have just returned from a lovely week in Bethany Beach, Delaware. Nothing much happened but I did buy a new dress. Nothing better than a new dress right? So my friend and I had an impromptu "photo-shoot". This is the result.
